Pluss Payment Refunding and Returns Refunding a sale to the customer’s card is possible, but only up to the amount of the original sale, this is a FullSteam Policy and cannot be broken. Credit Card refunds can only be made to the original card used in the sale. Returns require specific transaction identification to be processed there are three places the refunds can be done:
- Order History to refund and return the whole or majority of the sale
- Item History to refund and return only one or individual items
- Credit customer with refund but no items to return
When processing a refund if the below message appears:
The refund has exceeded the amount of the original charge and will not be processed.
If the customer's card was processed through another merchant / processor you will not be able to return the charges to the customer's credit card via the Pluss Payment integration to return funds to the customer there are a few options outside of using Pluss Payment.
