Creating an ROA (received on account) payment to a customers recievable account

Applying a ROA payment with Credit Card

When a customer pays on their account (charges or sales already closed) that is called an ROA (Received On Account) payment.  For full details on using the Accounts Receivable side refer to 11.2 Customer Payments ROA

From the Customer File screen or from the[F8]Accounts Receivable use[F12] to access the Crediting Customers area.
SelectOKwhen prompted to confirm the customers account number.
Select[F6] for the CC option

If a Credit Card Token is already stored on file the system will prompt to use credit card on file if selected the saved Ccard list will appear, use[F8] to select the appropriate Credit Card Token from the Ccard list.
If no Credit Card Tokens exist the system will prompt to "Save card on account" if the credit card is authorized to remain on account for future charges - refer to Adding a CC to a customers account for details (the lowest rate possible is with a stored credit card with all details entered).

 SelectNoto proceed with a one time payment entry.

TheCC# that is in the Check/Memo field must remain there as the first three characters, the type of credit card such as VISA, M/C, DISC or AMEX can be typed in after the CC# to help with reporting later on.
Enter the Amount of Credit (any discounts or unpaid service charges can also be entered at this time), selectOK
Apply the payment to the appropriate charges on account using theYfor 'YES' and use[F8] to process and save from the Crediting Customer screen.  

with theCC#in the Check/ Memo field after saving / processing the payment the system will prompt for the Credit Card details:

Depending on the configuration options selected earlier for this user the PAYMENT TYPE options may appear (this is caused by selecting the option "prompt entry method" in the configuration).

The PAYMENT TYPE options typically assist users with Terminal Merchant (physical device used to enter cards) configuration. A. Point of Sale - Card Present Select if the customer is present and the card is present the system will prompt for scanner and / or signature B. Point of Sale - Card Not Present (Mail) Select if the payment authorization was sent via Mail and the card is not present C. Point of Sale - Card Not Present (Phone) Select if the customer is over authorizing the charges over the phone and the card is not present For this example option A. Point of Sale - Card Present will be selected, if you have a credit card machine, it will now prompt the customer to Insert or Swipe a card. The example below is a user with the web interface setup (Terminal Merchant) the Pluss Payments window will appear.

Press Submit
Enter in CC info and press Pay:
