S – Sized

Sized parts are setup using the S memo on one of the items in the list. Sized items such as Rod Bearings can have sizes of standard, 10, 20, 30… and more. Sized parts are grouped together under the Standard or Primary part number, when that number is accessed the system will display the different sizes available and prompt for the appropriate size for the job. Each item will have to be setup in inventory as in the example shown.

Start with one main part number, put an S memo on the part, then continue with the other “sizes” and put the S memo on each of those additional sizes. Vigorously

In order for sizing to work, all of the sized parts must use the same primary part number with a space and then the size, along with the memo of S on each item in that sizing group. When a Sized item is added to an Order for sale the SIZING screen will appear to allow the user to select the appropriate item.
