To Delete large numbers of old estimates you can hit ctrl F5 in the open order screen, which will bring up a pop up with a date field, enabling you to delete all estimate prior to the date you select.

Easily closing Estimates you no longer need - In the open orders screen, hitting F5 will close the estimate you have highlighted. This does not delete the estimate, simply closes it.
