DESCRIPTION: 

Bug 18904 - Quickbooks: When accounts are set as Sub Accounts in Quickbooks, we have a size limit on the Account names, which makes the Inventory item fail to sync

APPLICATION: Quickbooks Desktop Integration and PTM Vision/Open Orders and Inventory

 

PROBLEM SUMMARY:  When accounts are set as Sub Accounts in Quickbooks, we have a size limit on the Account names, which makes the Inventory item fail to sync

 

<<-------------------------------------*SETUP INSTRUCTIONS*------------------------------------>>

  1. Access the Quickbooks Desktop Application

  2. Open a Company file

  3. Select Chart of Accounts

  4. Create a Current Assets General Ledger account

    1. i.e. GL#1001 CURRENT ASSET ACCOUNTS

  5. Right-Click on an Other Current Asset account and select Edit

  6. Select the Sub Account Checkbox

  7. Select the Current assets GL created in step 4

  8. Select Ok to save change

  1. Access PTM Vision

  2. Select O. Open Orders

  3. Select the Work Orders ttab

  4. Select F2. New Order

  5. Enter Customer account number

  6. In the Input field, enter an Inventory part with quantity in stock

  7. Select Alt+F7. Print Bill and Close

  8. Access the Quickbooks Desktop Application

  9. Open the Customer file

    1. Verify the Invoice and Payment are sent without error

  1. Access the Quickbooks Desktop Application

  2. Open a Company file

APPLICATION: Quickbooks Desktop Integration Overview Application, Quickbooks Desktop, and PTM Vision

 

PROBLEM SUMMARY:  Prevent customers from being added to vision from Quickbooks

 

<<-------------------------------------*SETUP INSTRUCTIONS*------------------------------------>>

  1. Access the Quickbooks Desktop Integration Overview Application

  2. Select the Setup Tab

  3. Locate the Customer Section

    1. Verify an option has been added to Sync Only Vision Customers

  4. Check in the 'Sync Only Vision Customers'

  5. Select Save

  6. Select Ok to the Configuration Saved dialog

  7. Access the Quickbooks Desktop Application

  8. Select the Customer file

  9. Select Add new Customer

  10. Enter Customer Account information

  11. Select Ok to save

  1. Access PTM Vision

  2. Select C. Customer File

  3. Select F10. Search

  4. Enter Customer name entered in Quickbooks
