Access PTM Vision
-
Select O. Open Orders
-
Select the Work Orders tab
-
Select F2. New Order
-
Enter a Customer account that is set to Exempt with a Tax percentage setup in the Customer file
-
In the Input field, enter an On-the-fly labor operation, such as "Fix the Truck", and then press Enter
-
In the Input field, enter an On-the-fly labor operation, such as "Fix the Headlights", and then press Enter twice
-
Select Yes to the dialog that states "Separate into Jobs?"

Add 2 hours to each job by entering '2' in the Q-Hrs field Note: No need to assign a Tech for this test

Right-Click on Job#1 to set the Labor operation as the active job

In the Input field, enter an Inventory part with a Force Tax Memo

Select F4. Edit on the Inventory part

Select the Ok button to exit the Item details view

Verify the Tax on the line item does not change from Y to N
