DESCRIPTION: 

Bug 12948 - Aurora: If alternate part # is the same as the original part# (without the line code) we are not recognizing it as a different part #

APPLICATION: PTM Vision/Purchase Orders

 

PROBLEM SUMMARY:  If alternate part # is the same as the original part# (without the line code) we are not recognizing it as a different part #

 

<<-------------------------------------*SETUP INSTRUCTIONS*------------------------------------>>

**This only affects users utilizing the Aurora integration; not changes to core Vision functionality has been made***

 

Alternate Part Setup:

  1. Access PTM Vision

  2. Select I. Inventory

  3. Select F10. Search and locate a part that is not an Aurora part

  4. Select F6. Options/Ctrl+A. Alternate Supplier

  5. Select F2. New

  6. In the Supplier field, enter the Vendor code used for your Aurora Supplier

  7. In the Order Part # field, enter the Aurora Part# that corresponds to the existing Vision part number

  8. In the Autoord field, enter a Y

  9. Select F4. Edit to save the Alternate supplier

  10. Select Ok to exit the Alternate Supplier popup.

  11. Exit Inventory

  1. Access PTM Vision

  2. Select P. Purchase orders

  3. Select F2. New

  4. Enter the Part number setup with the Alternate Aurora supplier part number

  5. In the Vendor field, set the Vendor code to the Aurora supplier

  6. Select Ok to create the Purchase order

  7. Select O to create the order

  8. Select F7. Print to send the order to Aurora

  9. Select A. Print Current PO

  10. Select Yes to the dialog message “Send this purchase order to Aurora Parts and Accessories?”

    1. Verify when the Print preview is shown, the correct part# is listed

      1. Alternate part number should be listed and NOT the PTM Vision part number
