Overview:
This area allows customization of Parts Sales Categories. This is designed to where you setup where the parts will load into primary and sub categories within the Pluss Commerce Portal.
Disclaimer: If this is the first time setup, please work with a Pluss Corporation tech to understand this area. We suggest you plot out on paper how you will want to categorize your parts, before uploading the actual parts into these categories.
Limiting the depth of the categories is a good idea as well as customers will not want to go down too many levels to find the part.
Click Manage Parts Categories from the menu to access this area.
This tree is a Hierarchical representation of the Parts Sales Categories. Node color represents whether the node can be deleted. Nodes in green text have parts assigned to that category and cannot be deleted (until parts are removed from that category).
Right clicking on a category item will open the context menu for that item.
A new category item placed at the root (farthest left in the editor) can be created from here. Click this item to open this category item editor.
Enter an appropriate category name for the new category and click update to add the category.
A new category will be placed below the item selected.
A new child item will be placed to the right of the category item selected.
Click Update to save changes. Cancel will abandon changes
Edit will open the category editor for the item selected. The category name can be changed here.
Clicking Update will save the changes, Cancel will abandon the changes made.
Delete will delete the category item selected. If the item has parts assigned to it, the item text will be green, Delete will be disabled.
Category Items with child categories cannot be deleted. Child items must be relocated (or removed) before the category item can be deleted
Category items can be relocated by dragging and dropping the item. Items are ordered alphabetically in the subcategories that they are placed in.
